At Clark, we recognise that designed output must comply with accessibility best practice and legislation to ensure creative work is accessible by as wide an audience as possible.
Accessibility considerations form part of our design process across websites, digital and print materials, in line with WCAG 2.2 guidelines and the principles of being Perceivable, Operable, Understandable and Robust (POUR).
We design with clear structure, strong colour contrast, readable typography and plain language. We ensure content can be accessed using assistive technologies such as screen readers and keyboard navigation where required. We avoid relying on colour alone to convey meaning, provide alternative text for images and captions for video.
We regularly test our work and invest in ongoing training to continually improve our accessibility knowledge and practice. While we will design to a minimum standard, if your organisation has specific accessibility requirements or guidelines, we encourage you to discuss these with us at the briefing stage so they can be fully considered from the outset.
